Picking up on a tradition that started in France, spread through Europe and now into the United States, allow me to introduce you to the local event “Make Music Santa Fe”, for which we are seeking your support. “Make Music Santa Fe” will be held Thursday, June 21st (the summer solstice) and will feature an evening of music on a stage in the Santa Fe Railyard Plaza, as a community event.

This is the first year for this event in Santa Fe, and it is being modeled after a national and international ‘Day Of Music‘ event held in over 400 cities around the world. The event is held on the summer solstice, the first day of summer, June 21st, and takes place simultaneously with similar festivities around the world — a global celebration of music making.

The entire city of Santa Fe will be invited to the event and there is no admission charge. We will start with a wonderful program by Santa Fe school children and will continue the evening with symphonic music and other local musicians. This is truly a community driven event, and it is exciting for Santa Fe to be participating for the first time! (We are included on the MakeMusic New York website, too).

As a sponsor at a $500 donation level, you will receive inclusion in the event promotional publicity, your company name will be featured on our website, www.makemusicsantafe.com and your company name will be included in banners that will be on display in the Railyard Plaza. The deadline to have your logo included in the printed materials is May 25, 2012.
